Vivek Narsimha Dondeti is a Software Development Engineer at Amazon with over 8 years of relevant experience in the field. Prior to joining Amazon, Vivek worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Arizona State University. He was a developer for FACT, a project aimed at improving interactive learning in classrooms. Vivek developed a web application that allows students to solve a set of math problems in a collaborative manner in real-time. He also developed an analysis engine that examines the students' actions and work in real-time and provides corresponding feedback to the teacher. J2EE-based server and ReactJS-based client were used for the project. Vivek also worked as an Associate Engineer at Caterpillar, where he worked on Visionlink, a product of a joint venture between Caterpillar and Trimble. It is a real-time construction equipment monitoring system. Vivek developed RESTful APIs for integration of Vision Link with third-party applications for data collection. He also secured the RESTful APIs by building an OAUTH-based authentication system. Vivek extended services for processing the data collected from the construction equipment to provide features like Alerts and Predictive maintenance. He also worked on creating the system for collecting and processing the metrics from the application. This enabled the marketing team to make informed decisions and more stable changes. Being a mentor to interns was also part of his role. Vivek holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
